I'm going to study at an anti-hacking course, so I hope I will get my CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) qualification at the end of the summer.

DID YOU KNOW...?


Those PCs which are using the Internet first time, without firewall, spybot-destroyer and anti-virus programme, can get something bad application after 20 minutes. (They can be spybots, trjoans, keyloggers etc. )

There are a lot of sites, which can crush your PC just via Internet. If you visit those sites, you get a lot of follower programme and after then, your PCs life is just in the creator of the follower.
The SpySheriff is a good example. If you find a link to this site, or you write it the "spy sheriff" as keyword, you'll find a site with the description "SpySheriff an award-winning spyware removal utility will help you fighting all kinds of spyware..." you MUSTN'T click on the link. It's very dangerous without the neccessary protection.

There are over 8 billion of hoaxes (spam, viagra-ads etc.) sending in each day. They are forwarded by tiny e-mail applications. If you open the mail, then the hoax is copying itself and one hoax can make 10 or 10.000.000 copies.

You cann't behold, but you can get maleficent datas with the harmless datastreams. They can go across the firewalls because they are just the parts of the complete programme, so neither the anti-virus nor the firewall aren't able to spot them.
If all of the components have downloaded, they assemble themselves and the ready programme attack your defensive applications, like anti-spammers, firewalls etc.

There are some not harmful but annoying "viruses". They don't hurt your system but make a lot of awkward changes. These changes can be file extension modifications, data replacings, changes in your folder-system etc.


HOW CAN WE PROTECT...?
You have to use the "Safety Triumvirate"... These are the firewalls (something serious, not just the Windows Firewall), the spybot removers and of course, the anti-virus programmes. If you use them regularly, you can reduce the chance of getting shits.
If you need higher protection, try some encryptioners. I suggest you, that you have a particion with valuable datas (bank datas, passwords etc.) you should try the TrueCrypt ([link]). It's very, very useful and it's probably unbreakable
